Semantic MediaWiki extensions

A number of new features have been created for the SMW, in particular offering sophisticated presentational features, by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, as part of the ACTIVE project.  Some of these are now freely available under open-source licences.  More details are available at the urls given below.

AskQ
AskQ is an extension for the SMW which makes it easier to perform semantic queries, without having to know the Ask query syntax.  In addition, it provides a facet browser besides the normal results display.  A list of the most-used properties for pages is shown, with the ability to select and de-select properties.  Documentation and download

Project management formats
This enables the display of project structures as Gantt charts and their export as XML files.  Documentation and download

Semantic Result Formats
This provides a number of result formats for SMW in-line queries.  These include graph formats, bar charts, pie charts and timelines.  Documentation and download

SMWWriter
This is an SMW extension which provides an API and tools to edit facts within the Wiki.  Documentation and download

RDFIO
This extends the RDF import and export facility in SMW by providing import of arbitrary RDF triples and a SPARQL endpoint that allows write operations.  Documentation and download

In addition, also as part of the ACTIVE project, STI at the University of Innsbruck have developed an editor to enable the development of lightweight ontologies for the SMW.  The editor also provides knowledge repair algorithms. Documentation and download
