ACTIVE is poised for two key meetings in mid April, 2010. On April 14th and 15th the project will be undergoing its second year review, with leading experts Gregoris Mentzas (National Technical University of Athens), Peter Mika (Yahoo! Research) and Valentina Presutti (IST-CNR, Rome). Then on April 16th the project will hold a combined meeting of its Scientific Advisory and Impact Creation Boards. Specially chosen experts from around the world will give project members their advice, both on the technical direction the project should take in its remaining third year, and also on how its work can best be exploited, now and after the project's end. Both meetings are hosted by the Jozef Stefan Institute in the city of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
